Syllabus and Pattern of LIC AAO mains 2023

The LIC AAO (Assistant Administrative Officer) Mains exam is the second stage of the selection process and is conducted for candidates who have cleared the preliminary exam. The LIC AAO Mains exam consists of five sections, and the details of each section are given below:

  1. Reasoning Ability: This section tests the candidate’s ability to think and solve problems logically. The topics covered in this section include Seating Arrangement, Puzzle, Syllogism, Input-Output, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, and Direction Sense.
  2. General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of current events and general knowledge. The topics covered in this section include Indian and World Geography, Indian and World History, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Current Affairs, and Static GK.
  3. Profesional knowledge:

The Professional Knowledge section in LIC AAO Mains exam is designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the specific job role for which they have applied. The Professional Knowledge section differs for each specialization. The specializations offered in LIC AAO exam are:

  1. Information Technology
  2. Chartered Accountant
  3. Actuarial
  4. Rajbhasha
  5. Legal

To prepare for the Professional Knowledge section, candidates should focus on the core subjects and topics related to their specialization. Candidates should refer to standard textbooks and study materials for their specialization and keep themselves updated with the latest developments and trends in their respective fields. Mock tests and previous year question papers can help candidates evaluate their preparation and improve their speed and accuracy.

  1. Insurance and Financial Market Awareness: This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of insurance and financial markets. The topics covered in this section include Insurance Policies, Insurance Terms, Financial Markets, Financial Institutions, and Financial Instruments.
  2. English Language (Descriptive): This section tests the candidate’s ability to write well in English. The topics covered in this section include Essay Writing and Letter Writing.

The LIC AAO Mains exam is a computer-based test with a total duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam is conducted in both English and Hindi languages. The exam pattern is as follows:
