SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Except for educational qualification, age and nationality are same for all postcodes. The educational qualification varies as per the postcodes.

Age: The age limit is 18 to 30 as on January 1, 2021.  Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in the upper age limit.

SSC JHT 2020 Notification

SSC JHT 2020 notification had been released to fill up a total of 283 vacancies. The notification carries all information related to the exam. The notification highlight details such as dates, vacancies, eligibility criteria, the application process, exam pattern, syllabus, etc. SSC JHT 2020 notification was scheduled to be released on April 17, however, it was delayed due to COVID-19 and nation-wide lockdown. With the relaxation in the lockdown norms, SSC had announced the exam dates.

Selection process of SSC JHT

The complete selection process of SSC JHT is explained below.

Filling the application form: SSC JHT application form 2020 was released online on the official website. The application form comprises two parts: Part I (One-Time Registration) and Part II (Filling the application form). The application fees were Rs 100 and could be paid both online and offline. Women/SC/ST/ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment. 

Release of Admit Card: SSC JHT admit card is released online separately for Paper 1 and 2. The admit card will be released two weeks before the exam on the respective regional websites of the commission. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required details. 

Appearing in the entrance exam: The entrance exam is conducted in two stages: Paper 1 and 2. Based on the marks scored in Paper 1, candidates will be shortlisted category-wise to appear in Paper 2. On the basis of the performance in Paper 1 and Paper 2, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification. The final allocation is done based on the merit-cum-preference. 

Declaration of result: SSC JHT result is announced online on the official website. The result will be available in PDF form. SSC JHT result will display the roll numbers of qualified candidates. 

SSC JHT Exam Centres 2020

The exam of SSC Junior Hindi Translator will be conducted in over 50 cities. While filling the application form, candidates are required to indicate three SSC JHT exam centres as per their preferences. SSC reserves the right to allot exam centres to candidates. The address of the exam centres is mentioned on the admit card.
